Meet Popular MTN Ambassador Saka & Family

The popular actor and MTN brand ambassador recntly turned 50 and he
opened up in an interview with TheNetNG.

How do you feel being celebrated at 50?
I feel so cool. I feel grateful to Almighty God for giving me the grace to
reach 50. I know that many people have gone even without reaching the
age of 20. 50 years marks a new beginning and I thank God that today I
can be alive to see 50.

How did acting begin for you?
As an aspiring actor, when I finished secondary school, I started with a
local theatre group in my town, Iseyin. From there, I went to University
of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University to study Dramatic Arts for my
first degree. I later went to University of Ibadan for my Masters degree
in African Studies. I am presently pursuing a PHD programme in
Performance Studies at the University of Ibadan. I’m sure you already
know that I also lecture in the Theatre Arts Department of the Adeniran
Ogunsanya College of Education. During all that process, I got myself
involved in different productions on TV, film and radio. It’s been very
interesting so far and I thank God for giving me the grace to increase in
my chosen field.

How has the journey been so far?
I must say it’s been quite a ride with so many years of sacrifices. I
thank God that he has given me the grace to go through all of the
challenges and to achieve the little that I have through these years. I
know there is still a lot to achieve but it’s been great journey so far.

How was growing up for you?
I come from a very humble background. I grew up in a village in Iseyin,
that’s Oyo State. My parents were farmers. They taught me to be
contented with what I have. I am who I am because of the values that
they have impacted in me. I just thank God that I’m a different story
today.

What would you say is responsible for your recent success?
It is God. God has been very wonderful to me. God has been there for me
and my family. He has given me the grace to be associated with great
people. More so, I have had the opportunity to be surrounded by people
that have added positive value to me life. My family, friends, colleagues,
employers and clients, they have actually contributed in one way or the
other to who and what I am today.

What are some of the challenges that you have had to go through to get
to where you are today?
When you say challenges, to me, they are necessary ingredients to live a
better life. Challenges actually make room for people to move further in
life, to seek for more value and to grow. Challenges are just mere
distractions. That is why I say I am thanking God for giving me the grace
to surmount all the challenges, to resist all the temptations and to solve
all the crisis of life.

What motivated your porting from Etisalat to MTN?
All I can say is that both brands, Etisalat and MTN are fantastic brands
and they are my friends.

Why do you think these telecoms companies have chosen you?
I really don’t know. I was just busy doing my thing and then they came. I
believe everybody aspires for good things. We all desire for an elevation in
status, but how it may come, we sometimes don’t know. The only
explanation I can give is to say that it has been the grace of God.

How much did you get for the MTN deal?
I would not talk about that. I would only talk about that much later at
the appropriate time.

Do you think people now celebrate and recognize more for your MTN
endorsement than for your acting?
I think it more of what I have been doing and God’s grace. I think it is
more of everything. And I’m lucky to have worked with MTN and Etisalat.

How much of an influence has your wife been to your success?
I have a very beautiful woman for a wife. A woman who has made the
house my home. Every time I go out, I want to go back home. I always feel
happy to go home. She’s always been there for me. She’s more of my
friend, my mother, my sister, everything. I thank God who has given me
the grace to have a woman who shares my vision.
The greatest mistake anybody can make in this world is to marry a
woman who does not share in his vision. God has given me that grace to
marry a woman who shares my vision. The things I do, I do them without
any problem. My home is stable and my job is going on well.

As a lecturer, do you ever find yourself in a position where your students
do not take you seriously because of your comic roles on TV?
My students understand the difference between acting and real life.
They are Theater Arts students of course and so they should know
better. They know the difference between Saka and Mr. Oyetoro. Saka is
the actor, while Mr. Oyetoro is the lecturer. They have learnt to always
draw a line between the two.

Now that you are 50, what should your fans be expecting from you?
They should expect more productive and positive contribution to the
industry from me. I really want to go into television production. I know
there are challenges in making films in Nigeria, but basically I am more
comfortable with television production. Already we have started with a
television production and we hope to put it on air before the end of this
year.

How would you describe the present state of the entertainment industry?
It’s been encouraging. In those days when our senior colleagues started,
they were not well regarded. They were seen as never-do-wells but today,
things have changed. People are living off theatre. People are living off
entertainment. Considering our productions here and there, for about two
years now, Nigeria has ranked second in the world in terms of production.
That means we are productive. Of course we cannot be compared to
Hollywood because of the lack of facilities and the challenges of the
environment that we have found ourselves, but I believe that in the next
few years, we are going to be there.
Although in the past, commitment in terms of what we produce was far
better. These days, commercial values are more of paramount interest, but
I believe that as time goes on, we will go back and start to think about
content. Our stories are good. We have stories to tell but the way to tell
it is our problem. I’m very sure we are going to find the right way to tell
it one day.
Saka’s wife, Olaide also had some few things to say
On how she feels to see many people coming out to celebrate her husband
many people. According to her she feels excited, great and to God be the
glory. She describes the years they have spent together has wonderful
and God has been with them.
On the main attraction for your husband: It is simply love. That was the
main attraction and I thank God for everything

Who is your best?? Mercy Johnson VS Tonto Dikeh!!!

Mercy Johnson and Tonto Dikeh are unarguably two of the most
popular actresses in Nollywood.
In recent times, they have also been involved in serious altercations
that have broken the ranks of their followers.

“Tonto has never liked Mercy. Starting from when Nollywood started
shifting ground to Asaba, Mercy was always in hot demand, which
obviously made Tonto to begin seeing her as a competitor. This, among
other things combined to make them impenitent enemies,”
The source, who
is a stakeholder in the industry disclosed
They are also beautiful in their own rights. Now, we are taking the
war of tweeter that they have been engaging in beyond that. We
want to know who is the best between Mercy Johnson and Tonto
Dikeh.
You be the judge and a winner must emerge!!!!
Vote for your choice!!!

PICS: Why I Posed Nude - Waje

As controversy continues to trail her new video, I Wish, sexy singer, Waje,
has explained the reasons behind her decision to feature in it in her
‘birthday suit’.
In an exclusive chat with The Entertainer, Waje, who recently joined
Globacom’s expanding league of brand ambassadors, said that her decision
to bare it all was to highlight the plight of women who are victims of
heartbreak across the globe.
“It’s a form of art. Music is a language, which involves a lot of expression
and to be able to express yourself properly, you have to paint a picture
for your viewers to understand. I Wish is the story of a vulnerable woman
which was the picture I wanted to paint; a woman heart-broken, helpless
and vulnerable. I wanted to draw attention to the plight of heartbroken
women. I wanted to be as close as I could to nature for that video hence
the nude scenes,” she disclosed.
Born Aituaje Iruobe, it would seem she was destined to make it big in
music that has opened a lot of doors for her. The graduate of Social
Works from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) started singing at an
early age and that earned her scholarship, courtesy of late Benson
Idahosa’s of Church of God Mission.
“Music has always opened doors for me,” says Waje, who hit the limelight
after she did one of the verses on P-Square’s massive hit, Do Me, in 2007.
“Throughout my secondary school, I never paid school fees because my
singing got me a scholarship from the late Bishop Benson Idahosa. By
faith, I even saw more happening back then; I saw myself bringing back
home a Grammy. I have always known that God will bless me through
music. There is more to come because I am here to stay. I am currently
collaborating with Coca Cola on a project. These kind of things make you
want to work harder because you see that your hard work is paying off
at last.”

‘Efe Walters Sat on My Laps & My Weakness AROSE' - Pastor Biodun of COZA

And the story continues, COZA pastor Biodun was interviwed by
TheNETNG and i really don't know what to make of this piece. Read and
figure it out yourself

Good morning, Man of God. Thank you for finally speaking on this issue
sir.’
‘Welcome my brother, you are blessed. It is you I must thank for being
very open-minded about this whole nonissue. I read your column last week
and I must confess Nigeria is lucky to have people like you who still use
their brain cells. The Lord be praised.’

‘Hallelujah. So, where do we start from?’
‘Let us start from the beginning. Praise the lord.’
‘Hallelujah.

So, what was on your mind when you invited her to the terrace
of your hotel suite?’
‘That’s not the beginning. It all started when I saw her in the
congregation while preaching one Sunday; she was very vibratory,
especially when taken over by the spirit doing praise and worship. Praise
the lord. The spirit ministered to me that she would be useful in Pastoral
Care. That was why I invited her to the unit. And she was very useful.
Praise the lord.’
‘Hallelujah.
By ‘very useful’ you are talking about your affair with her,
right?’
‘No, we didn’t have an affair; we had an understanding. Praise the lord.

‘Really? Explain to me how that works, sir.’
‘Praise the lord. She understood that I am a Man of God with a weakness.
I understood that she was a believer with an equal weakness. She
understood that I was a married man; I understood that she was a willing
woman. She understood that I could make her no promises of forevermore;
I understood that she understood that by associating with me I would
introduce her to a level of grace she was previously unaware of.
‘Is this also the kind of understanding you had with others that led to
your suspension in Ilorin and the 130 women you have slept with?’
‘Lie! Big lie! One hundred and thirty?!!! Haba, how could one man have
done that, even with a never seen before level of grace? They just want
to give my dog a bad name just to hang it. 120, I may accept, but 130?
Never. When it is not as if I have a spare mobile penis that I charge with
car charger. People should fear God when saying some things o. Praise
the lord.’

‘Let’s return to her story. So, what were your intentions when you invited
her to your hotel suite?
‘Special deliverance, I swear. God sees my heart. I had heard some
uncomplimentary stuff about her and had caught her looking at me
somehow during Pastoral Care Unit meetings, so I knew I had to intercede
for her to retain God’s glory in her life. Praise the lord. Even when I
asked her to come to the terrace it was so we could get cool breeze during
the deliverance. All was well until she sat on my laps.’

‘What happened when she sat on your laps after you invited her to do so?’
‘My weakness arose. And when we kissed…my brother, do you eat seedless
grapes? That’s what her tongue tasted like, soft and succulent. What was
I to do? You people don’t know how hard it is to pastor a Pentecostal
church in Nigeria, especially in this Abuja! You are there teaching the
word of God and what do you have before you? Gorgeous women with sly
smiles; with breasts, big and small, chiseled upon their chests like those
old wood carvings; lips like cherries; eyes speaking to your soul, telling you
their desires. Ah, until you have walked in my shoes you are not qualified
to judge me. Praise the lord.’

‘Is it true you had sex with her everyday for seven days?’
‘Zachariah 10. It’s a level of grace you can’t understand.’
‘Ask the Lord for rain in the spring for he makes the storm clouds. And
he will send showers of rain so every field becomes a lush pasture.’
‘You know your bible. Praise the lord.’

‘Hallelujah. And what styles and positions were employed?’
‘One does not talk about such things but suffice to say we were quite
experimental, you know, those things one doesn’t ask from a wife. Praise
the lord.’

‘ So I’m free to assume missionary wasn’t top of the list?’
‘God forbid. Praise the lord. In fact, it was because of experimentation
that we had our first quarrel.’

‘Really? What happened?’
‘She wanted me to use my silk ties to tie one of her legs to the door knob
and the other to the window…I thought that was too much of a spread so
I declined and she took offence. It was during round 4 on Day 7. Praise
the lord.’

‘You know sir, each time you say ‘Praise the lord’, what I hear is Praise
the Rod. It seems to me that you spend more time doing the rod’s work
than you do doing the lord’s work.’
‘Who died and made you judge? Don’t make proclamation about me if you
don’t want the wrath of God. I’m a man of God, remember? Praise the
lord.’

‘Is this also why you’ve refused to explain yourself to your congregation?’
‘They don’t need any explanation. They know me.’

‘We would have to end this interview on this note sir. Thanks again for
your time. By the way, I don’t know your middle name?’
‘It’s Roderick.’

‘Say what?’
‘Roderick.’

‘RODerick?
Perfect.
‘Praise the Lord.’

Peter Okoye's response to a fan who called him an"Empty Head"

So, Peter Okoye congratulated Kcee for joining the oil business by saying
"Welcome on bored" which he later corrected..Not before a fan called him
empty head. This is similar to what happened to Wizkid, the difference
is..Peter Okoye did the best thing "BLOCKED"

Between Olamide & Lautech student he called a "Hoe"

I saw this yesterday evening but ignored it not until this morning when some friends were talking
about girls who tweet at celebs without shame. So, I argued that sometimes, being starstruck
contributes to such actions like in the case of Lautech student Nifemi...
Well, someone told me to read her old tweets, that she tweets the same way to every celeb especially,
Wizkid,Davido,B-Red ,Sina Rambo,Flavour, Solid star....Lol .
Well.....I noticed its true..she does have class though..Only A-list celebs...lol still..was that the best
response?
