Katy Perry and Barack Obama Bond on Twitter--Take a Look!

There's nothing like a little tweet sesh with the President of the United
States to take your night from awesome to amazing.
The 2013 Video Music Awards proved to be a great night for Katy Perry,
who debuted two teaser tracks and closed out the show with a knockout
performance of her new single "Roar." Just add a tweet from Barack
Obama into that mix and the singer's night was complete.
Perry retweeted POTUS' message to get affordable healthcare starting
Oct. 1, and he was very appreciative of that.
"Thanks for spreading the word. #ROAR," Obama responded, and look how
cute that is--he hashtagged "roar."
Katy wrote back, "Happy to do my part, PREZ!" and then later on in the
night tweeted, "YO what a day! #ROAR-ing @ the #VMAs, Tweeting w/
POTUS, & now happy to announce U chose #DARKHORSE FT
@therealjuicyj to come out Sept 17th!"
Perry has been an Obama fan and supported his run for re-election last
year. She even performed at a Los Angeles fundraiser for the president
along with Bon Jovi, Jennifer Hudson, Stevie Wonder and Earth, Wind &
Fire, and made sure to show her support through some very patriotic nail
art, as well.
Additionally, the "Part of Me" crooner is also close to Michelle Obama, and
even spent her 28th birthday having lunch with FLOTUS.
Yeah, they're practically besties.
