Eid-al-Fitr is the first day of the Islamic
month of Shawwal . It denote the closure
of Ramadan , which is a month of fasting
and prayer to God. Numerous Muslims go
to shared prayer to God, listen to a
khutba (sermon) and give zakat al-fitr
(Giving out of food as charity) throughout
